One Woman's Journey to Communicate with Animals

Journal: An Ordinary Pet Psychic

Pet Psychic Journal - Intro

One day, 4 years ago, I was flipping through the cable channels on someone else's TV, when I met the pet psychic Sonya Fitzpatrick (via boob tube) for the very first time. Fascinated, I tried to catch whatever episodes I could when I neared a cable box. She predicted a giraffe was pregnant (it was), and let a cat owner know the cat really did like the shave she used to give it. Reaaalllly liked it. Later I saw an interview with her. When asked about her talent she emphatically said that anyone could learn how to communicate with animals.

I'm a rather mystical person when I'm not being scientific-- I actually think the two merge very well. Much of mysticism is natural phenomena that has not been scientifically explained, thus inviting anecdotal explanation and superstitious methodology. (What!??! you scream quizzically? Thats okay just ignore it and go to the next paragraph.)

Regardless of how I justified it, I decided to undertake the mission of trying to learn to talk to animals with a wide open mind sans a spec of skepticism or negative thinking. I first began by looking for her book on how to learn to talk to animals. My studiousness lessened (though my seriousness did not) as I decided I was too cheap to buy it, and too lazy to order it from the library. My solution? To the webcave!

Her website gave some basic instructions. I don't want to violate copyright, so I won't repost them here. But the gist of it was: go to a quiet space with your animal, get an image of them in your head, say in your mind and picture the image of what you're trying to communicate. Practice all the time.

She also had instructions for receiving communication...but I forgot most of those. Suffice it to say, I've practiced communicating more than listening...which is bad. Bad me.

Are you curious whether it worked? Me too. Join me on my journal entries as I tell you how my trials and practice go. First I'll post entries to catch you up on the last four years. Then you'll get current experiments and contact attempts. Cats, poodles, and big dumb dogs all become my guinea pigs in my quest to figure out: Can ordinary people really communicate psychically with animals?

(Note, I said I was serious but not studious so don't be worry about a deluge old boring entries. Just hang on tight and maybe get inspired to experiment yourselves!)
