(One Writers) Definition of a Soul Mate

Most people are looking for that one person they can connect with. A relationship with someone who they feel comfortable with, confident around, and enjoy spending time with that special someone. When you find that special person you may find yourself trying to define a soul mate. If you are defining this then one would need to say that a soul mate is a person that is, but the reflection of yourself. A soul mate is just that, the same as you, in all ways. They can share everything with you because, they know you feel, see, and care the same as they do about that subject. They believe in everything you do, wish for, want, have, need, and much more.

A soul mate will one day just show up in your life, like a surprise package on your door step. You won't always know when they are there at first glance, but as the moments tick by the world will stop around you. The light will fade and the soul mate will shine. Picture you in a room filled with people, your soul mate walks in and the silence is deafening. You look at them and the light within them guides you to them.

With one look from their eyes you know exactly what that person is thinking. You can finish a thought, sentence or movement without them telling you what they were thinking, or going to say. You are but one now instead of two, he is you and you are he.

Looks are not necessarily important when it comes to your soul mate. Even if time takes it's toll on him you still feel that swift beat of your heart when he walks into the room. When he needs you it is but a short call of your name and you are there. If he is ill, you find yourself wishing you could take that illness into yourself. His happiness is your strongest desire and your happiness is his strongest desire. You are he and he is you. Soul mates for eternity. This my friend is a soul mate and he feels the same in reverse, an intense feeling that you perhaps cannot describe in words, merely a feeling so strong you ach with the thought of that person.

Yes it is true not everyone finds their soul mate. Perhaps the creator does not choose to let each person have a soul mate. Perhaps there is a reason behind that, this writer is not sure. Not everyone can deal with someone who knows them so well. Perhaps they are hard to find in all the billions of people within this world. Or maybe we just don't know what they are when we see them. Fear of that bright light that shines from his face, the feeling of falling and loosing control when he is around, these are things that many people cannot understand and fear.

This writer has had the pleasure of finding her soul mate and I feel sadness when I know others have not. The feelings, sensations and love are things I feel each person should be given in this life. The exhilaration of his presence is something I cannot describe to you but can feel in my soul. That is not to say that at one time I did not loose my way in my life with him. But once lost, I was easily found as he just had to walk back into my life.

Keep your eyes and heart open, your soul mate may be the man next to you in line at the coffee shop, at work, on the train, in the store, you may find him in the strangest place. If he is there you will surely find him. Once found all I can share with you is, "Have a wonderful, exciting, fulfilled lifetime, live it to the fullest.
