One-A-Day
Just like a Vitamin............
Our present world
Can be such an ugly place.
Urban sprawl
Junkyards
Graffiti.
The drudgery of everyday life
Coupled with the ugliness of our surroundings,
The workday commute
And the rush, rush, rush
Can bow our heads
And curl our shoulders
Inward toward our own pain - -
And our
Computers.
But the Universe
Delivers unfailingly
A daily dose of unbridled beauty.
Wisps of fog,
Pink and purple sunrises,
Sheets of rain,
Orange and gold sunsets,
Big shiny skies that extend forever
Into Blueness.
Every day
Something wonderful is there.
We have to remember
To raise our heads,
Uncurl our shoulders
And look
Up.
