You have to build a following. If you're not enthusiastic about writing, it will show in your work. Your true feeling about what you're writing will shine a light for all to see. If you want that light to draw people in, you have to mean it. If you're writing something you believe in (and are enthused about) you will draw readers like flies.
Stop trudging through articles. Drudgery begets drudgery. Accepting articles based on payment amounts is self defeating. Remember why you write. When I first started writing, I made the mistake of choosing high paying assignments, regardless of subject matter. Since then, I've learned that any article can make you good money in page views if you know and love the subject.
Take a break (or two or three). Why did you choose online article writing as a career? For me it was about getting out of the 9-5 rut and doing something I love. If you turn writing into the same job you left, you may as well not even bother. I write when the words are flowing. In some respects, I treat it like a real job. The difference? I work steadily on the four days a week when I feel the writing urge.
Don't force it. Your readers will know. You're sitting at the computer and nothing is happening. Your assignment is due in an hour. What do you do? Walk away for a few minutes. You can't force writing. It's not like a conventional job. Next time you have an assignment, give yourself plenty of time to complete it, unless you are feeling the urge to tackle it then and there. Writers are word artists. Your mood will show in your work.
Smile. Sometimes that's all it takes. Keep a vision of the reason you write in your head at all times. Remember all the great things about working at home and doing what you love. Carry that feeling into your writing. Soon your fingers will be flying over the keys. Keeping a happy, positive outlook is the greatest motivator for online article writers and everyone else. Remember why you write now? It's the greatest job in the world.

This is a fabulous article, packed with great advice!
This is a great article.
I have to agree 110% ((((hugs)))) :o)
So true! Writing is ALL I want to do when it comes to paying work. I worked a bunch of jobs I hated until I found the one I love. I feel sorry for people who never find what they love. I quit working for a boss, took a chance and now - here I am. I'm living my dream!
Thanks for reminding me that writing is about passion first.
Nicely done, if you don't enjoy it - that will shine thru! cheers :)
Good points.
Love Love Love this, thank you Jaipi... :o)
I always do.
