Online Halloween Stores - Uniquely Texas

Part 2 of the Review Describes Some Unique Online Features for Texas Halloween Stores

Marie Puddu
Between shopping here and there for Halloween costumes in Texas, we have noted some unique features that stood out in these online stores.

Queen of Hearts Costumes

That repetitive, magical wand sound upon visiting the website is definitely not my favorite part in this Texas Halloween online store. If you're a customer, my advice is for you to mute your computer's volume settings. If you're a business owner, watch out for those fancy elements that web designers add in your website. Or better yet, think twice before adding an element that soon becomes an eyesore...or in this case, a high-tech way of acquiring an earsore.

Queen of Hearts Magic Emporium in Plano, Texas is not necessarily a hotspot for Halloween costumes. However, there's plenty of stuff in the catalog you could use, especially if you're holding a Halloween party for kids.

The catalog is not something you can actually browse as a list that you can click to purchase. This Texas Halloween online store is merely showing you what they got, as a whole, no ecommerce capability there. In other words, though they have a website, the store doesn't really have a strong online presence. Worse yet, they are not equipped to buy and sell Halloween costumes through their website.

Rose Costumes

Denton, Texas surely has a lot to offer for those seeking Halloween costumes, but apparently only if you live in Denton or nearby towns. Don't feel like visiting? Unfortunately, you won't be able to purchase any of Rose Costumes' products online. Because even though their website has impressive, quasi-interactive graphics, they lack the capability of fulfilling online transactions.

Don't ask me, this Texas Halloween online store was just not designed to be like that. They did post their contact information, suggestions for the right Halloween outfit, but nothing in the form of catalog purchasing options. I believe their online store has a lot of potential, since they have already begun with something unique: great, fast-loading design that enhances their website presence. Whether they will work on improving this aspect next Halloween season, only the business owner can tell.

Costumed Occasions

I was blown over by this Texas Halloween online store. No don't get me wrong, it has nothing to do with graphics, variety of catalog, bad or good aspects, etcetera. The store seems innocuous, what is there to suspect?

If you're using an updated version of Firefox, you will probably encounter the same problem that I faced upon making my way around Costumedoccasions.com. Why? Indeed, it is uniquely Texas, a proud San Marcos business. But I was told upon clicking the product I wish to purchase that "This Connection is Untrusted".

"You have asked Firefox to connect securely to sf1000.registeredsite.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified."

It does not mean that this Texas Halloween store is not secure. It only means that it does not measure up to Firefox's security standards. This is a unique website problem that Costumed Occasions' management really needs to address.
