Online gaming can be a fun way for your children to pass the time as they wait for Christmas to arrive. There are many Web sites that offer online gaming related to Christmas for your children to play. Your children can build snowmen or play Christmas tic tac toe, all with the click of the mouse. If you are in search of online Christmas games for children then try one of these Web sites.

BillyBear4Kids.com

The first website for online Christmas games for children is called BillyBear4Kids.com. You will find Christmas games that are suitable for younger and older children to enjoy. There are many different types of Christmas activities and games to be found on this website for your children.

The younger children may be delighted with the drag and drop sticker activity. The children have three options to choose from: Christmas House, Nativity, and Christmas tree. This activity is easy for younger children to play, only requiring the click of the mouse to decorate each scene with virtual stickers. If your children rather color you can find Christmas coloring pages as well. All young children need to do is click on a color from the available palette and click on the area they wish to color in.

Older children may enjoy games such as Tic-Tac-Toe or Candy Cane Hangman. Children can play Christmas Tic-Tac-Toe against the "computer" player. When the game is over your child can click on the Play Again button to start a new game. The game also features scoring, keeping track of how many games your child and the computer player won, as well as games that ended up in a tie. Candy Cane Hangman starts with nine candy canes in all. Each time your child guesses a wrong letter a candy cane will disappear. If your child is unable to guess the word before the candy canes run out, they will lose and a page will appear with the answer as well as the option to play again. If they win they will see a page that says "YOU WIN!", along with the word and the chance to play again.

Kaboose.com

Kaboose.com's holidays page hosts games for both children young and old. You will find a Christmas Activity Center for the older bunch and a Holiday Fun Preschool Activity Center for the little ones.

The Christmas Activity Center has many games for older children to play. One game I find particularly addicting is Santa Balls. There is actually a sequel game called Santa Balls 2, as well. The object of the game is to line up three or more ornaments in a row to delete them from the board. This game is just like the popular games Bejeweled or Swap It. Santa Balls 2 features a honeycomb design to offer a different way to play. Children who are able to read may enjoy some of the Christmas riddles featured on the site. The riddle page shows Santa and an elf sitting on what looks to be a late night talk show stage. Santa's mouth moves as a riddle appears in a speech bubble. Clicking on the Answer button will show the answer appearing in a speech bubble from out of the elf's mouth.

For the little ones there are easy Christmas games and activities for them to enjoy. One activity the young ones may enjoy is Snowman. You start out with a snowy scene and a blank snowman. Kids can decorate the snowman by dragging and dropping various decorations onto the snowman's face and body. If they'd rather color, there are online coloring pages featured on the site as well. Young children can click on a color with their virtual paint brush and then click on the area they wish to color in. After they click the area to be colored, they can watch as the color fills in. There are many different types of coloring pages for the young children to enjoy.

Apples4theTeacher.com

This website offers either Christmas activities you can do online or offline. Children can learn the meaning behind Christmas and the various symbols of Christmas by reading the information provided under the About Christmas tab. There are also Christmas craft projects and recipes to be discovered that will give you and your children something to do together offline.

For online fun, children can decorate a Christmas tree. It's easy to decorate the tree, all your child must do is drag and drop the various decorations onto the tree. Older children may have fun finding the words for a game of Word Search. Or perhaps they can try and solve the Christmas Scrambler Puzzle. After looking at the completed picture, children can click on the Start button which will scramble the pieces. Your child must try and put the pieces back where they belong to complete the puzzle. There are different Scrambler Puzzles that your child has to choose from, all with a Christmas theme.

Playing Christmas games online can be fun for your children. These websites are just a few of the websites you will find online that host Christmas games for your children. Remember that while playing Christmas games online, children should not be left unattended. Have fun this holiday season with your children by playing these, and more, online Christmas games. You just might find that these Christmas games are fun and addictive for you as well.
