Online Nature Radio Stations

When you want to get away from it all, but can't really step your foot outside in the middle of a forest, there are radio stations online that can make you feel like you have stepped into the woods. There also may be a time during a day when you need peaceful relaxing sounds as you read, nap or perhaps complete some light work on the computer.

If you enjoy the joyful sound of chirping birds and their melodies, you can tune into Bird Song Radio. You can listen to a mixture of bird species that are in a forest, a jungle or just out in the wilderness flying about. Should you have birds of your own, they might even enjoy listening to other birds too. To tune into Bird Song radio, you can log onto their website at www.birdsongradio.com and download the link to listen via Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, Itunes, Winamp, Flash or other players that may not be mentioned. Bird Song Radio also offers a recording you can purchase via MP3 or CD. It features birds along an English countryside that lasts for almost an hour. You can purchase the MP3 to listen on your Ipod or buy the CD to put in your CD player at home.

To get a little bit closer to nature and listen to the sound of the whales, a rainstorm or the beach, check out Chroma Radio Nature. You can find their online radio station listed on radiotime.com or www.chromaradio.net. Radiotime.com lists their scheduled nature "songs" that play throughout the day. Some examples of their listed programs include "swim with the dolphins" and "mystic voyage." This station is soothing to listen to while meditating, reading or sleeping at night.

NatureRadio.net offers nature sounds 24 hours a day. The online radio station has no commercials or any other types of interruptions. You can tune in via your Windows Media Player, Real Player or Itunes. If you want quick access to the radio station, you can also download the nature radio station toolbar which is Adware and Spyware free. It is compatible with Internet browsers such as Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari.

So, should you be stuck indoors for the day, tied to your desk or you just need some relaxing sounds, the sounds of nature are never too far away. Just by clicking a few links with your mouse, you can have nature playing right at your desk as you "step away" to take a virtual walk in the forest or some moments to zone out from a busy world.
