How Be in a Friendly and Enjoyable Game of Online Texas Hold'em Poker
It can be fun to play on-line poker. However, I have seen people try to make everyone else's life just a little more unpleasant. Generally you can report these nasty players to the poker room moderator's via an Email. If they see that a person is trouble maker, they can and do suspend them for a variable amount of time. Most online poker rooms generally allow you to report misconduct and will often take action on it.
Since you are playing for fun, please try to be polite to other players. Generally it is a teenager who tries to go out of their way to be nasty. Worse than that is an alpha male playing on the same table as their girlfriend or wife. There can be a major verbal sparring match when you get involved with someone like this. Even threats are not uncommon in this situation.
Usually, most people are playing to have fun and to be social. If you are polite to them, they will in turn be polite to you. Here are the most common abbreviations you will see:
AA - Pocket Aces
AH - "A-word" Hole
AI - All In
AK - Ace King In The Hole
BRB - Be Right Back
CU - See You
FPP - Frequent Player Points
FU - "F-word" You
FY - "F-word" You
GB - Good Bet
GG - Good Game
NH - Nice Hand
IO - Invitation Only
K - OK
Race - Not An Abbreviation As Such But A Fast High Stakes Game
S&G - Sit And Go, A Small Quick Tournament
TC - Take Care
THX- Thanks
TY - Thank You
TYVM - Thank You Very Much

I played online poker a couple time. Though not very good and never knew what most the abbrevations were maybe now I will know a little more.
