www.veoh.com: This site has both homemade clips, as well as, clips from various shows. I was also able to find full-episodes of my favorites like He-Man, She-Ra, and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Young Hercules, and Sliders. Ironically, we found something that my son loves, Transformers! He has learned how to locate these videos under my supervision, and happily spends time watching them instead of watching some stupid show like SpongeBob. These episodes also have no commercials at all.
www.hulu.com: This site has both clips and full episodes of both movies and TV shows. They also have episodes of some of my favorites like Sliders, Dirt, and Medium. I have been most fortunate in the fact that not even 48 hours after a new episode of Dirt or Medium appears on NBC that it will show up on this site. I don't even need to use my DVR any more because it's easier to just watch it on this site and there are very little commercials.
www.fanpop.com: This site also has both clips and full episodes of many TV shows. I was able to watch all of the Pretender episodes, as well as, Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. They also have episodes of Ghost Whisperer and Medium, just to name a few. The only problem I found is that sometimes the videos lag a bit, depending on how it was uploaded. Otherwise, it's a pretty decent site.
www.Guba.com: This site has lots of amateur clips, as well as, full episodes. I am currently watching Xena: Warrior Princess. There are no commercials, and the quality is decent enough. It depends on how it was uploaded and from what format. The only problem is the fact that there are quite a few episodes missing, but otherwise, the site is good.
www.television.aol.com/in2tv.com: This site has full episodes of many shows, including Wonder Woman, Lois & Clark, and Superman: The Animated Series. The only problem is that many times the videos won't load correctly, or they jump during the episode, going to an unwanted commercial. Sometimes, they do play correctly, so it's not too bad. Still, they seem to have things that everyone would be interested in, so it's worth a visit.
These are just a few of the sites that I have found that are free to watch. No fees required. I find that it is sometimes more enjoyable to simply watch something on these sites, rather than the TV itself, as I can watch something that I really enjoy, rather than another rerun of a show I have already seen 5 times this month.
Just something to think about when nothing is on TV and you are feeling nostalgic, or just extremely bored by today's selection of TV shows!
