Online Zoo Web-Cams

Would you like to take a walk on the wild side? Do you want to see the animal kingdom up close and personal-yet you just can't make it to the zoo? There are plenty of fun animal web-cams that you can view right from your computer... Plus-it is free entertainment and an ideal way to educate your children about the earth's wild animal kingdom.

If you want to see some wild kitties, then the Smithsonian National Zoological Park has plenty of web-cams for you to look at. You can view the Cheetah cam, and watch one of the world's fastest land mammals. For an even cuter show, be sure to view the baby cheetah cub web-cam too. It will be one adorable "cooing fest."

You can also visit and see the Primates who reside at the Smithsonian Zoo via web-cam too. Kibbi, a female western lowland gorilla, was born January 2009 and had her first complete medical exam in March of 2011. Kibbi resides at the zoo with her mother who also had a healthy check-up the same day as her . You can view Kibbi's growth via web-cam and see her online at the Smithsonian website.

Another fun visit zoo to visit online is the San Diego Zoo. The website and web-cams have much to offer Internet viewers both young and old. There are plenty of fun facts to learn about animals as well as watching them live online. Some of the animals that you can see online at the San Diego Zoo include the polar bear cam, panda bear cam, elephant cam and the ape cam. Enjoy a rain or snow day inside and go visit the zoo online when you can't get outside.

To do some online traveling abroad, check out Zoocam.com that is powered by Earthcam. You can view numerous animal web-cams from all over the world. Check out penguins who live in Dusseldorf , Germany or watch seals, elephants and the jungle house located in Munich, Germany at the Tierpark Hellabrunn Zoo. Other countries that you can visit include Italy, South Africa, the Netherlands and Antarctica. Not only is it fun to see other zoo's from other countries, but you can also teach your children (or even educate yourself) about other locations around the world and the animals that live there.

When you can't get outside or to the nearest zoo, there are always plenty of animals to explore online. With the technology of web-cams, you can visit all of your favorite animal friends just by the click of a button. You can check in on them through-out the day, or pick a specific day of the week to pay them a visit. There is always something new to learn about our planet and the animals who we share it with, and having the chance to view them live on web-cam makes it that much more exciting.
