I should have been brave and stood up, because it wasn't even my notion
I don't believe in having regrets so you'll be my only one
It's been 5 years since then and I will never forget what I've done
He said I would ruin his life and his parents would not approve
He said he had to go to school and to do that he had to move
She said I was too young and she wasn't able to help out
She said this wasn't good timing and my future is what I should think about
So I went to do what I was told to do
The worst part is I can't make it up to you
Everything happens for a reason, I believe that in my heart
If we didn't learn from our mistakes then how would we get to be smart
I can only live in the future, I can not redo the past
But the memory of your being will be with me and always last
