Star of High School Musical Raises Questions About Discretion
According to Vanessa Hudgens public relations manager, the photos are of Vanessa. They were never intended for public exhibition, and it is sad that they have "fallen into the wrong hands." Sad, indeed. A young woman, on the rise is another victim of dishonesty, indiscretion, and lewd destructive behavior. I cannot imagine the mindset of someone who would place such pictures on the web.
On the other hand, when will people learn? You take nude pictures, make videos. You put yourself at risk. Here is an idea. Keep your clothes on. Keep your intimate moments intimate. Everyone is not voyeuristic and need not take a peek to induce sexual desire or satisfaction.
When did sex move out of the bedroom, or occasionally the kitchen, but when did it move out of the bedroom and into cyberspace? It saddens me to think of the low life porn industry on-line that preys on our society. Adults have the free will and right, to make stupid decisions about what they view and do in cyber-space.
Personally, I am offended by a pop-under that reveals activities I never even knew existed until I was married.
Call me a prude, maybe I am. I believe in discretion. I believe in monogamy and that doesn't mean it has to be boring. I believe in choice. With the exception of cases of sexual violence, all men and women have the choice to keep their clothes on, their pants pulled up, and say no.
The sad truth about Vanessa is that now, something she did in privacy for a little fun, will likely lose her teen and pre-teen fan base. That is if parents have sense enough to participate in their child's choice of role models.
She may pick up more fans and more money in the long run. I hope, rather, that she sticks to the interview clips I have seen in which she claims she wants to stay out of trouble and out of the public eye.
She is now thrust into the public eye. I pray she has guidance and good sense to stay out of trouble.
