Open for Interpretation: One

April 20th, 2010

I've been meaning to start this up for a while now, as I definitely have enough dreams to fill in at least once a week. I'm a very active dreamer, and I tend to remember my dreams quite vividly. I thought it could, and might be entertaining to let a few of them out into the world. Leave them open to interpretation as the title says, feel free to give your opinions.

This morning I woke up, and went back to sleep for about an hour. In that time I had quite an odd dream indeed. It involved a breaking ceiling, family, moving boxes, sex and dragons. Though well...Just hear it for yourself now.

I woke up in the dream and it was 10:35. This being five hours or so late for my family and I, this was distressing. My dad was taking a shower, so I went to the kitchen only to find my father naked and completely dry standing behind the refrigerator door.

While standing there my father and I discussed how my sister and I would be staying home, as she'd just gotten her vaccinations. I said okay to this and on my way back to my room, my father started the shower again. While laying in bed I began to text my girlfriend, we were texting something about dragons and sex together. It wasn't clear what exactly, but we disagreed on the subject.

Then my ceiling collapsed above my bed and water started pouring out - about the amount you'd get from a faucet. I leaped up and knelt on the ground looking up. The entire middle of my ceiling was gone now and all around the edge water was trickling out.

I rushed down the hall, and laid down in front of the bathroom door feet kicked up like a girl at a sleep over. I waited for my father to get out of the shower and continued talking to my girlfriend whom told me that she wanted to dress me up and make me her "boy-whore". Which in the dream I did not find strange.

Then I realized my father was gone, and it must be my sister in the shower. It was still morning in the house but at that moment my grandmother opened the door. It was the afternoon outside the house and she walked in. My grandmother is an excitable woman but I didn't know what to do about my room so I rushed to her and told her.

Quite calmly she went to my room and looked around. There was only a small dent in the ceiling above my bed, nothing was wet but I was soaked. Some of my things were piled in boxes and storage containers on the top of my bed. She asked me what the problem was. I woke up.

So there it is, the first installment of what I plan to make a weekly set of articles. Open for Interpretation.
