Open Letter to John Boehner and Other Republicans Now in Government Positions

Just Because We Voted for You Doesn't Necessarily Mean We like You - or Trust You

Timothy Frazier
The words "mandate" and "referendum" are being tossed around liberally by the media and many Republican officials (old and new) after the massive landslide GOP victory Tuesday. Your party members are already bickering about whether they'll try to work with the President, whether they'll try to repeal the entire mountain of dung that is Obamacare or "just the worst parts".

You Republicans who are crowing and gloating over the sound ass-whipping that the American people delivered to Democrats in the last 72 hours should get over your celebrations quickly and realize that the message wasn't entirely directed at Democrats.

Here's a slice of humble pie for you, Mr. Soon-to-be Speaker of the House, and your associates: The message that the American people delivered was just as much for the victorious Republicans as for the defeated Democrats.

We are fed up with runaway government spending.

We're fed up with intrusions on our privacy.

We're fed up with imminent domain.

We're fed up with taxes...not high taxes or low taxes, JUST TAXES!

We are fed up with politicians who say one thing and do another.

Republican officials, you've been on the same track as the democrats for decades, you just talk out the other side of your mouth and travel a little slower, but you keep moving in the same progressive direction while you tote the American people along in a big cozy handbasket.

CHANGE COURSE NOW. This is your last chance per the majority of your constituents.

You had your last chance with me two years ago before that big government pansy McCain won your primary.

If a working man like me finally officially resigns from the Republican party and becomes a card-carrying, money donating official member of the Libertarian Party; votes as I did Tuesday (a straight Libertarian ticket), you'd better be worried that many, many others are soon to follow. The only reason you won Tuesday is because the majority of conservative Americans have not yet realized the Libertarian party is a viable alternative to the two progressive and liberal traditional parties they've always chosen from in the past.

Take a look at the trend analysis of Libertarian wins and increased vote shares over the last four general elections.

You have 24 months to prove you're not still a bunch of liars who talk straight and walk crooked, or you'll be spending the next cycle licking your wounds just like the Democrats.

Toward Liberty,
