You have both set in motion steps that are eventually going to bring the country to its knees. You disgust me. On the Democratic side, we have the liberals blaming the blue dog democrats and vice versa for election losses. The truth is a lot worse than that. You see, most of the blue dog democrats are actually conservatives who registered as democrats for reasons I can't understand. They should probably be registered as Republicans. The moderate Democrats have no actual voice in the party anymore, because there's a battle for control of the party by Corporatist Democrats and the Grassroots liberal democrats. Neither of these groups are helpful to the future of this country because they are both stuck in a mindset where what they want is right and opposition to their belief systems means you are un-American and unworthy of praise.
On the right, it's even worse. The religious right, who for years has been dominated and manipulated by the other wings of the party, finally found a voice in Sarah Palin. They've been the people electing republicans in primaries for years and as soon as the Republican's win the election, they get ignored in favor of the Neoconservative business wing of the party. The right may be better at framing the overall message since they have a fake news network with high ratings and low morals to deliver said message, but they're just as corrupt and broken as the left. Now they've helped swing an election and they're about to get ignored again, which is just going to make them angrier and more likely to cause a fissure in a party already corrupted by too many wings and it's going to be a problem.
The reality of the fact is that the people are angry. I'm tired of hearing about how everything is in black and white. I'm tired of reading about how (insert social issue here) is ruining America. We need a leader to step up say that social issues are important, but we need to work together to bring jobs back to this country, to fix our infrastructure, to make sure terrorists are not getting here, and to ensure that no one in this country will ever be homeless or not be able to pay rent again. We need to help our country, instead of focusing on whether or not our president is a radical Muslim Christian socialist anti-American scumbag not born in this country.
We need to do this because we love this country. It doesn't matter if you're a democrat or a socialist or a republican or constitutionalist or a libertarian because we all love this country; we just have different views of what this country should be and we should learn to work together to make sure our society is functional. It is time to learn how to be sane and rational, and that we shouldn't base elections off our selfish views on social issues because those give everyone tunnel vision and makes them lose sight of the truly important things in life; our family, our jobs, our infrastructure, and our countrymen.
