Operation Condor 102 - Big Brother 9

Operation Condor is the code name for the plan one of the alliances has for evicting Amanda and Allison. They call Amanda and Allison "Eagles." For details on how Operation Condor came to be, see my article "Operation Condor 101" (CLICK HERE).

This alliance is between James, Chelsia, Joshuah and Sharon. Adam and Shelia are a founding part of the Operation; however, the main alliance has reason to believe Adam is untrustworthy. Ryan and Allison were brought into Operation Condor as a way to gain the votes to evict Eagle Amanda and set Eagle Allison up for getting backdoored. Recent events have possibly changed things for Eagle Allison and she may no longer be a target.

As of Saturday, February 23, 2008, Operation Condor seems to have included a new target, or Eagle, Matt. At this time, Ryan is unaware that his partner in the game is one of the Eagles being targeted by Operation Condor. Ryan believes he is an integral part of the Operation and at this point, he may very well be.

As in these types of reality television shows, it is not always easy to know who really is in an alliance or a plan. People cross-talk and it can be difficult to figure out what is true and what is just talk. The only thing that is certain about Operation Condor is that James, Chelsia, Joshuah and Sharon are the core of the alliance. Those four will be making the real decisions. Adam, Shelia, Ryan and Allison are second layer members and are expendable.

February 21:

James, Sharon and Chelsia were in the HOH bedroom talking about the nominations. They know they are putting up Alex and Amanda (Operation Condor), but they are debating which couple to put on the block with them. Because Matt and Natalie gave a "pity vote" to Jen and Parker, James believes they have no choice but to put Matt and Natalie up with Alex and Amanda. If Matt and Natalie were to vote to keep Alex and Amanda, then Alex and Amanda only needed to find one swing vote to stay in the house.

Ryan joined them in the HOH room and reminded James that he had agreed not to put him and Allison up this week. Ryan began lobbying for Adam and Shelia to go up on the block with Alex and Amanda. James tells them all that he's going to do the Condor during the nominations and he squeaks and waves his arms.

James and Chelsia nominated Eagle Amanda and her partner, Alex for eviction. They put Matt and Natalie on the block with them in an attempt to ensure Alex and Amanda's eviction.

James, Adam and Ryan were talking later and we get a clearer picture into the reasoning behind Operation Condor. Adam said "Operation Condor is what it's all about." James said "The game isn't about alliances.. It's about 'Operations.'" Through this conversation, we now understand that James' game play is not to make a big alliance and hold true to the end, but to break everything down into smaller "Operations," or what I would call "Goals."

February 22:

There is a possible hitch in the plans when the main alliance group, James, Chelsia, Joshuah and Sharon plot another covert Operation. This one is dubbed "Operation Epic Ruthless" and is so top secret that only these four will know about it. Which Operation is actually followed through on is yet to be determined. When Joshuah and Sharon win the Power of Veto, Operation Condor is secure. Unless, of course, the four decide to follow through on Operation Epic Ruthless.

Just prior to the fight between Allison and Shelia blew up, while it was still in its brewing stage, Operation Condor partners James, Chelsia, Ryan, Allison, Joshuah and Sharon found out that they could no longer trust Adam. When Amanda and Allison were taken to the hospital for medical emergencies, the house was in shock. Everyone was talking about everything in a highly animated state. During this time, Chelsia said that whether or not Amanda or Allison were back in the house or not, Operation Condor was still in effect and that "Amanda is coming back anyway."
