The next morning it was time to go fishing. Bob and Kenny went off together, finding two huge fish in the net. Kenny then went on a long confessional about his time in Gabon. He mentions how he never would do anything like this in his normal life and commented on Bob's game play. He calls Bob a bad social player but great camper. Because of that, Kenny finds Bob to be dispensable as all he does is make stuff. It was them time for the Reward challenge and a product placement. The challenge split the tribe into two groups of three. Crystal and Susie were captains and chose the following teams: Crystal/Sugar/Bob and Susie/Matty/Kenny. Corinne was left out and she wasn't too happy about it, luckily she wasn't given the time to complain.
Jeff then revealed the reward to the Survivors, a taste of home from a video message. Each were then shown a short video clip of one of their family members. All were wishing the Survivors luck and none were long enough for any meaning. All seven loved them though but it was time for the challenge. The two teams had to first wade through the mud, twice, to reach gears. Once the gears were placed together correctly a flag would rise and the winning team would move on to compete against each other. The first of the three to finish a sliding puzzle would win pizza, beer and their full length video from home.
When Jeff said "Go" the two teams were off. Crystal/Sugar/Bob were out first and head until the gears were reached. Matty/Susie/Kenny were in front the rest of the gear race until the very end. Even though they were far behind, Bob caught the group up with his mad science skills. He also beat out Sugar and Crystal, obviously, at the puzzle and was able to see his video. Towards the end his wife popped out from behind a tree and surprised Bob. He then returned to camp with everyone elses family members, and there was much rejoicing. Kenny talked all game to his sister, telling her he will win if he makes it to the Final Three. Guess they didn't see the finale of Micronesia before leaving for Gabon. Sugar and her sister were shown next. It was a touching moment where Sugar talked about her dad. Her sister brought ashes with her and Sugar placed some into their lagoon. Matty and his girlfriend were then shown and it was time for the proposal. It was odd to see Matty break down like he did but touching at the same time as he asked his girlfriend to be his wife.
With the loved ones gone it was time for Tree Mail. Bob and Corinne went off to get it but Bob was up to something. He started to tell Corinne how Marcus didn't really throw the Idol into the ocean. She bought it, but that was the point. Bob planned on making another fake idol, giving it to Corinne and leaking the story about Marcus. It was then time for the Immunity Challenge, testing their knowledge of Gabon. Each correct answer gained a ball for the Survivors. They then threw the balls over the cliff, aiming at a large sand target. The ball landing closest to the middle gained Immunity. Sugar was the only one to answer all four questions correctly but Bob came out on top. The first part of his fake idol plan was fulfilled and the plan was in full motion.
Back at camp it was time to put Operation Fake Idol into play. Corinne and Bob collected their story and approached Kenny. Corinne told Kenny that Marcus hid the second Idol, Bob found it and she was going to play it that night. Kenny bought it, surprisingly, even before the idol was made! Kenny suggested bringing in Crystal and so it seemed Corinne would be saved. Crystal bought the fake idol as well but Kenny made a new plan. He wanted to flush out the "idol" and take Matty out all in one. He told Crystal to vote out Corinne while he would be the third vote for Matty. Doing so would do what he wanted, but only if the Idol was real. Crystal was still debating what to do. Her vote was the swing, as the Idol wasn't real, and she debated still voting for Kenny. In the end Corinne didn't use her idol and Kenny's plan was screwed up, along with Idol 2.0. Corinne went home and the game was changed once again. With Kenny voting for Matty, who knows how the alliance will survive next round. Only one week will tell as we push on for the finale of Survivor Gabon.
