Operation of a Heart

A.M. Morgan
Barely touching the surface of it

The evidence is not readily available and clear

Although struggling with indifference for the feelings of others

Nothing is always as cold as it initially appears

It's hard to understand so accusations run wild

It's improperly labeled callus because the outside world wants to operate on it right now

It seems hidden and beyond reach but beneath it all it is a heart openly yearning for love

And it will find happiness and peace as soon as it releases itself to the vulnerability it is afraid of
