Operation Kindness, a no-kill animal shelter in Carrollton, Texas presents the event which is comprised of an auction and various other activities yearly.
The shelter also held a "Keeping Families Together" Pet Food Drive which collected over 6,100 pounds of dry pet food, over 600 cans of pet food, as well as toys and treats for animal lovers facing economic challenges in town. (Source: operationkindness.org).
In unrelated event news, the Texas Hill Country Regional Lighting Trail features eleven communities in central Texas to kindle the holiday spirit with shimmering courthouses. "A Very Merry Unauthorized Children's Scientology Pageant," a cheeky musical featuring L. Ron Hubbard, Tom Cruise, John Travolta, and others associated with the controversial cult is being performed through Dec. 20 at the Circle Theatre. The address is 230 W. 4th Street in Fort Worth.
