OPI Swiss Collection: Nail Lacquer for Fall-Winter 2010

Gwendolyn Taylor
Although summer is still in session, new and exciting nail lacquer colors are being unveiled by well-known nail beauty brand OPI. This time they have a Switzerland theme based line up their sleeves and this collection has already gotten nail polish fanatics like me quite excited. Here is a preview on the highly anticipated fall to winter collection.

The new collection consists of twelve new colors, six of them are crème finishes, and the other six are shimmer finishes. The crème finished include: I'm Suzy & I'm a Chocoholic (a brown crème color with a hint of red), From A to Z-urich (a basic red crème color), Color So Hot It Berns (a coral red crème color), Just A Little Rosti At This (a deep reddish burgundy crème color), William Tell Me About OPI (a deep dark plum crème color), and Ski Teal We Drop (a teal blue crème color). The shimmer finishes include: Diva Of Geneva (a metallic shimmering plum with a magenta touch), Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous (a sheer shimmering grey silver), Glitzerland (a sheer shimmering gold), Yodel Me On My Cell (a bright bold metallic blue), The Color To Watch (a sheer iridescent lavender metallic), Cuckoo For This Color (a emerald green metallic shimmer with a hint of teal)

I personally am a fan of "Cuckoo For This Color, "Glitzerland", Diva of Geneva", and "Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous". I have always been an ardent admirer of shimmering and glitter themed nail polishes, these four colors definitely caught my eye. My all time favorite would have to be "Cuckoo For This Color" since it is the main shade that stands out from the rest of the collection.

This collection can be found in beauty supply stores such as ULTA and online beauty products retailers. Each individual bottle will retail for $8.50 each and a mini pack will also be available for sale. However, I'm not too impressed with this collection's mini pack colors which include "Yodel Me on My Cell", "Luceren-tainly Look Marvelous", "From A to Z-urich", and a clear top coat. The only color I like out of the mini pack is "Luceren-tainly Look Marvelous", so I will be buying the individual bottles of this collection from now on instead.
