Nancy Pelosi can start an argument with just her name spoken. Folks on the left defend her. Folks on the right can state every reason she should be sent out of Washington with her head between her legs. Nancy Pelosi is controversial for both political parties.
The questions are here.
Should Pelosi step down and let fresh blood take over as House Minority Leader? We've learned from AOL that reports are leaning toward her staying in Washington as the Democratic Minority Leader. Many people seem to think she's had her reign and it's time to step aside to really bring change to Washington.
What we know.
President Obama just experienced great defeat as Republicans took over the House. Pelosi been called a villain by Republicans and Tea Party Supporters, according to AOL. The truth is that she's stood shoulder to shoulder with President Obama, so at the end of the day, voters can choose for themselves. What do you want to happen to Pelosi if you could choose?
America now can sit back and watch President Obama to see how he will embrace Republicans in the coming months. They get to experience firsthand and see whether he moves more to the right or stiffens up and continues to give more of the same socialist stance.
What we can anticipate.
If Pelosi doesn't step down, we can anticipate much of the same. For Democrats, this could be good and bad. America, as a whole, isn't all that happy with Democratic policies or President Obama. Keeping Pelosi could be a dangerous move for Obama in the next election. Not that he gets to decide. Only Pelosi can choose what she will do in life.
If President Obama wants to bring back the votes, he needs new blood as the House Minority Leader. He needs someone fresh who can sway back the votes of the people. Unfortunately, Pelosi isn't the woman for the job. First, she is controversial at every opportunity. Second, Republicans can't stand her. The opportunity for there to be some kind of common ground between the two parties isn't likely with her around.
Nancy Pelosi Could be Considered Cocky
With Pelosi around, Democrats are going to continue the path of President Obama of not listening the people. With an upcoming presidential election just around the corner, Obama is sure to now be thinking about becoming a one-term president.
What we can expect: With Pelosi by President Obama's side, we can be sure of much of what we've seen the past few moths. Behind closed doors, deals will be made again. The economy continues to struggle and yet politicians will still go about their business as usual. They must not have gotten the memo that the American people want them to listen.
Loyalty amongst the Democratic Leaders
No matter how badly the economy is doing or how little the country likes the way the Democrats have handled themselves in Washington, at the end of the day, there is a strong loyalty amongst Democratic leaders.
Forget about Nancy Pelosi being one of the most controversial leaders of the House. She is and has been the face of the Democratic Party. She's also brought huge change to Washington and the entire country. To be fair, she has the political stature and power to really do whatever she wants. Let's face it: She's powerful in the political world.
At the end of the day, loyalty and political authority seem to trump out American opinion or her controversial status. She's also female and can always pull in the female votes if she really needs them. We see once again politics in Washington -- no change, just politicians playing by their own rules to stay in office.
