I have written a lot of news articles on what I like to call "political naughtiness." Political naughtiness is a term used for when the presidential campaigns continue to bash each other by smearing their good name. We have seen this back and forth from Obama and McCain, and now we are seeing it again from Palin.
The reason they try to smear each others names is to try and pursue the way the voters will vote when it comes time. This presidential election has already made history with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama being the first woman and first black person to ever run for president and make it that far and now Palin has made United States history as being the first woman to ever be elected as a running mate. It seems that this year with so much history being made that they could come up with something better to do than to talk down on each other.
As a voter and a citizen, I believe, and so do many other Americans, that the downgrading is getting ridiculous. I was actually glad when Obama made the statement saying that a person's family should not be attacked and should not be an issue in this presidential nomination.
It seems that the media has been following Sarah Palin and her family around and making bashing comments about them but the truth is that the media and most everyone wants to know who everyone is that might be helping to run this country. I can understand the busy bodies and why they are trying to dig a little deeper into their personal lives. I, for one, do not want someone to run my country if they have a lot of webs in their closet.

Post a CommentEveryone is entitled to an opinion. I am not a fan other either candidate but I would choose McCain/Palin over Obama any day of the week. Just my two cents. Thanks for another great article Rosa.
I agree about the bashing getting to be way beyond the pale. However it is as much a main stay of the political life of this country and Mom and apple pie ... take a look at the debates and mud slinging back to the time of Lincolin.
Palin in my opinion is a grand gal, who was chosen for this office at a time in her life she might well concider not running . She has a near newborn with Downs syndrom and I for one am old fastioned enough to care that this child who needs his Mom is getting only part of her life. Yes his father is I am sure , a very good care giver ... and they have enough money to see that the child is well cared for but DOWNS brings with it a resposablity that a normal child resposabilty enough ...for a Good mother and father does not . Even if this child is now a healthy infant , Downs is know to be associated with many many abnormalitys like heart problems and imuno -supressive problems.
THanks for the fine article !
Blame all this on McCain's vetting team. They simply did not do their job. And he showed poor judgment by going against his own wishes. Lieberman, Romney, Pawlenty, Huckabee, Giuliani, etc., look better than Palin...
