Oprah Tops Forbes Celebrity 100 List - Pulls In An Impressive $260 Million

Neither the antics of Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan could put a damper on Hollywood's biggest box office year to date.

Making a record-setting $25.8 billion in box office sales, Hollywood has soared to new heights even if its biggest money-makers were sequels. But the real movers and shakers are what comprise the Forbes Celebrity 100 list. A few stars fell from grace, while others made surprise climbs and appearances.

Rounding Out the Powerhouse Players

It should come as no surprise that the undisputed queen of daytime television would be sitting pretty at No. 1. Oprah Winfrey is Forbes top lady on their list of the Celebrity 100 pulling in a cool $260 million. This officially makes her richer than God. And that's not the only place where she's considered number one. According to Forbes, she is also No. 1 in the Web rank, meaning she's the most-searched celebrity and she's No. 1 in the TV ranking - no surprise here.

And coming up second on the list is Tiger Woods. A record breaking year for arguably the world's most gifted golfer, Woods made a $100 million, more than any other athlete has ever made in the history of sports. A raise from Nike, a new deal with Gillette and more overseas playing gigs will keep Tiger on top of the heap.

The Proof is in the Numbers

Celebrity favorite Johnny Depp made $92 million off Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. This staggering figure is more than any other male actor has made ever!

But it wasn't enough to beat Brad Pitt, who sits at No. 5 on Forbes list. The comely actor pulled in an impressive $35 million. Pitt made headlines time and again thanks to his coupling with actress/advocate Angelina Jolie and their newest addition to the burgeoning family, a boy from Vietnam. Oh yeah, and made some movies, too.

Some Good News

Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears have all been kicked off the Forbes list to be replaced with the newer, better behaved crop of young Hollywood starlets. Hayden Panettiere of Heroes fame debuted this year at No. 98 and Disney sweetheart Hillary Duff has also made the list at 77.

The First Time is Always the Best Time

A new first for rapper Jay-Z. He appears at nine on the Forbes list. After retiring and then coming back, he is bigger and more popular than ever. He is running Def Jam, his comeback album, Kingdom Come, hit the top of Billboard's pop and rap charts, he owns a small piece of the New Jersey Nets, he sold his clothing line, Rocawear to Iconix for $204 million and then there's Beyonce. Soon enough he'll be able to retire for good.

Also making the list for the first time is the cast of Grey's Anatomy. The cast of Grey's made 12 on the Forbes list because of their combined salary of $33 million. The success of Katherine Heigl's side project, Knocked Up, and the gossip plaguing Grey's have made it one of the most talked about and now, one of the highest paid. Just goes to show, even bad press can earn you a top spot on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list.

This should come as no big surprise, really! Although I do not agree that Oprah is richer than God!
