Oprah Winfrey Interviews Sarah Palin: Video Clips Now Online

Sarah Palin Discusses Levi Johnston, Admits Chat with Katie Couric 'was a Bad Interview'

Scott Allan
Today CBS News posted two video clips from Oprah Winfrey's upcoming interview with former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Winfrey challenged Palin about her interview with Katie Couric and her relationship with Levi Johnston. Check out the video clips on the CBS website here.

Video clip #1: Sarah Palin discusses her interview with Katie Couric

In one of the video clips, Oprah asks Sarah Palin about the infamous interview with Katie Couric, in which Palin seemed to be unable to name a magazine or newspaper that she read. Asked whether she thought the interview was a defining moment, Palin replied, "I did not, and neither did the campaign."

Sarah Palin said that the McCain team was actually pleased with the Couric interview, which surprised her. "Of course, I'm thinking, 'If you thought that was a good interview, I don't know what a bad interview was,'" Palin told Oprah.

Video clip #2: Sarah Palin discusses Levi Johnston

In the other video clip, Oprah asked Palin if Levi Johnston, the father of her daughter Bristol's baby, would be invited to Thanksgiving dinner. "He is a part of the family and you want to bring him in the fold," Palin answered. "It's lovely that he would even consider such a thing."

Winfrey challenged Palin on her non-answer, asking, "Does that mean yes he is coming, or no he's not?" The video clip ends before we see Palin's response.

Sarah Palin on Oprah Winfrey: Part of her Going Rogue book tour

Sarah Palin's appearance on Oprah Winfrey is part of her book tour to promote her upcoming bestseller Going Rogue, in which she tells to story of her life and of the 2008 presidential campaign.

Regardless of one's personal views of Sarah Palin, her interview with Oprah Winfrey is must-see television, and not just because Winfrey endorsed Palin's opposition in the presidential election. The interview will give Winfrey a chance to ask some of the tough questions that Palin hasn't yet been asked, and it will give Palin an opportunity to respond to some of the criticism, fair and unfair, that has come her way.

The full interview with Sarah Palin will air on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Monday, November 16.
