Oprah Winfrey Talk Show Ending September 2011

The end of The Oprah ERA. The Oprah Winfrey Show to air its last episode in September 2011. We all knew Oprah would eventually move on to other things, but it is still a sad day. Oprah has been an icon of my generation.

I have been fat & thin with Oprah. I think I fell in love with Oprah because she was not perfect, and I was not perfect. When she weighed 239 lbs, the same weight as the heavy weight boxer I felt her pain. I had just had a baby & I was fat too, We struggled with our weight together.

In the 80's we wore shoulder pads, and we had big hair together. I love it when they show the old clips. Can it be true that The Oprah Winfrey Show will have run 25 years by the final episode in 2011? It just seems like yesterday that she was on the liquid drink diet, and then gained the weight back.

This past year we came together again. I also have Thyroid disease. Oprah brought the disease out in the open for discussion. Most people just viewed Thyroid Condition as a excuse for being fat before Oprah showed the world the truth.

Oprah created Dr. Phil. He went to a superstar overnight. I remember going through my divorce with the Dr. Phil books at my side. I had a "Deal Breaker" marriage, so I filed for divorce.

Oprah represents the everyday woman. We have felt her triumphs and defeats. She has become an icon because we wanted her to succeed. She touched our hearts.

The best move she made was leaving the trash TV Shows behind. This made her stand out. I have loved her self improvement shows the best.

This maybe the end of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" but I doubt this is the last time we will see Oprah on air. She has the Oprah Winfrey Network-OWN. I am personally hoping to grow old with her on the Oprah Winfrey Network. I can always dream.
