Oprah's Favorite Things 2009: What Will Be on Oprah Winfrey's Favorite Things List This Year?

Talk show host Oprah Winfrey is known for her annual "Favorite Things" episode on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Every year, right before the holidays, Winfrey hosts a segment that showcases all of her latest favorite things, while her lucky audience members receive all of the goodies on the list.

In 2008, in light of the poor economy, Winfrey took somewhat of a break from her highly anticipated "Favorite Things" show and instead encouraged viewers to give from the heart and not spend money. But in 2009 it will be surprising if Winfrey goes the same route, as many viewers were disappointed.

What will be on Oprah's Favorite Things list in 2009?

Winfrey has already introduced viewers to one of her latest Favorite Things. Last month Winfrey raved about her new favorite jeans: CJ Jeans by Cookie Johnson, calling them her "new favorite jeans" (her previous favorite was the Linda Trouser jean by Ellen Tracy). Cookie Johnson, wife of NBA star Magic Johnson, created CJ Jeans for curvy women. Winfrey went on and on about how much she loves her new CJ by Cookie Johnson Jeans, but admitted they were pricey, starting at $145 a pair. Viewers were then offered a less expensive jeans option, Lee Jeans at $42 a pair.

While no official word has been given on the items included on Oprah's Favorite Things 2009 list, Winfrey's website is currently hosting Oprah favorite Things Sweepstakes, where home viewers will have the chance to win some items from past Oprah's favorite Things lists.

Winfrey loves to endorse her favorite new products. In 2008, she introduced viewers to her favorite gadget, the Amazon Kindle bookreader and all viewers were given a coupon code to get $50 off the price of the Amazon Kindle.Winfrey always fills readers in on her latest favorite books via Oprah's Book Club (her current book club selection is "Say You're One of Them", a short story collection by Uwem Akpan). Winfrey even shared the recipe for her favorite sandwich with viewers back in 2004, The Margaux Curried Chicken Sandwich .
