On her list were several items for cooks, as well as several items from Williams-Sonoma. One of those items is Perfect Endings Cupcakes. These are already-made cupcakes in an assortment of three delicious flavors: Red Velvet, Vanilla, and Chocolate. Each is frosted and topped with cake crumbs, coconut, or sprinkles. In each box of nine cupcakes, there are three of each flavor. These cupcakes are made from scratch with dietetically sinful ingredients such as fresh eggs and real butter.
These cupcakes are made by Napa Valley, California bakery Perfect Endings, and the recipe comes from the grandmother of the founder, Sam Godfrey.
Fourth on the slide show of Oprah's list of favorite things, her website notes the following about the cupcakes, "Sam Godfrey, the cake genius behind Oprah's 400-pound 50th birthday cake, is bringing his sweet treats to the masses for the first time. Perfect Endings Cupcakes can be shipped anywhere in the United States and come in three fabulous flavors: red velvet with white icing, chocolate with chocolate sprinkles and coconut." (*they meant to write 'and vanilla with coconut')
Because they are perishable, Williams-Sonoma has them shipped overnight from the supplier, and cannot offer them as a gift-wrapped item. Quantities are limited, so orders must be placed by noon on November 23. Cost per box: $59

Post a Commentif you look at the low-fat recipe, it calls for 2 1/2 tsp baking power, the regular shows 1/2 tsp baking powder. I suspect the 1/2 tsp is correct. Right?
My family loves cupcakes and we get some very nice ones here in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia BUT watching last night Oprah's Favourite Things show, the cupcakes looked so "yummy" and all the lucky audience getting all the freebies. Oprah has a heart of GOLD.
I recently got the chance to eat some of these cup cakes with the Eddins, and they taste great! I plan to send some to my mother as soon as I can.
yummy!
