Oprah's Favorite Things: Scrabble Premiere Edition from Hasbro
It's so Beautiful that You Can Use it as a Showpiece when You're Not Playing Scrabble
Oprah received her Scrabble Premier Edition from Stedman for Valentine's Day. Now you, too, can surprise your sweetie with the scrabble game fit for a king, or queen, that will last their lifetime.
Many things set the Scrabble Premier Edition apart from any other versions of Scrabble.
One look at this game and it's easy to see why Oprah fell in love with it. Constructed from different woods, the game is as beautiful to look at, as it is fun to play. With brass-colored accents, the Scrabble Premier Edition even has an organizing drawer built-in to store tiles, tile racks, score pad, pencil, timer, and rulebook.
The tiles are faux-ivory, and the game has a leather pouch for storing the tiles. The stamp pad is foil-stamped and the timer has deluxe metal end caps.
The board itself is enough for any game lover to find irresistible, even if you don't play it! Two unique features set it apart from any other game board. It's designed to function as a lazy susan, and is made to stop your letters from falling all over the place, ending up anywhere but in the squares that you had chosen.
The board itself is made similar to a lazy-Susan, because it is a rotating board. Mounted in a wooden frame, the board turns so that each player can read all of the words that have been formed. No more trying to read words upside down or sideways.
Unlike other game boards where the letters can fall all over the place, this scrabble board has raised edges around where every letter is placed. These edges hold each letter it it's own square so they won't shift and move while you play Scrabble.
You'll love owning the Scrabble Premier by Hasbro, and anyone would love receiving it as a gift.

Post a CommentTo our Canadian friends & neighbors: The store, Restoration Hardware, doesn't ship to Canada....so ... HBC does carry Scrabble games although this edition was not listed on their website. I would recommend contacting them first, or as a last resort (gulp) trying eBay Canada or eBay with an American who will ship to Canada (I don't like eBay - be careful!)
When Oprah starts messing with Scrabble, she has gone too far.
I love Oprah. Today was her annual Favorite Things. And this Scrabble set? Woohoo! It's hot. :) (and thank you LOL)
