Oprah's Secret Revealed: Her Name is Patricia

Oprah's secret has been revealed! So who is Patricia, and why is Oprah's big secret so shocking?

According to celebrity biographer Kitty Kelley, Oprah's big secret was a half-sister named Bunny (gotta love all the animal names here). However, TMZ reports that her name is actually Patricia.

Oprah has been teasing about revealing a big secret on her show for the past week, hinting that the secret has something to do with her family and that it would top any reunion she's ever staged for the show. She's even gone so far as to say that her secret has to do with being reunited with someone herself.

According to TimeOut.com, Oprah's half-sister was placed for adoption as a baby because Oprah's mother couldn't afford to take care of her, and based on the promos for the show, Oprah definitely seemed excited about meeting her after all these years.

Oprah's half-sister PAtricia is now reportedly a grandmother, and she might be one extremely lucky lady; it's hard to imagine that Oprah won't want to help her newfound family member out, and she'll probably want to spend some quality time with her (which could mean lots of fun free trips). And since sister Patricia has kids and grandkids, it also means Oprah has become an aunt and great-aunt (Christmas just got better for a whole bunch of people).

Of course Kitty Kelley's revelation of what Oprah's secret was definitely made sense based on the hints Oprah kept dropping last week, but it wouldn't have been surprising if having a half-sister didn't turn out being Oprah's secret after all; Oprah wasn't too impressed with Kitty Kelley's book "Oprah: A Biography", denouncing it as a "so-called biography" and causing sales of the book to plummet, so Kitty Kelley could have been using the story as a publicity ploy to increase sales (and she was wrong about the name of Oprah's sister being "Bunny", unless that's a nickname Patricia goes by).

So with a long-lost half sister being Oprah's secret, get ready for some compelling television later today. Patricia going to have quite a life tale to tell being old enough to be a grandmother, and there are sure to be lots of tears and many, many questions.

And if Patricia shares Oprah's over-the-top personality on camera, who knows? Maybe Oprah can help her half-sister out by giving her a show on OWN (any show would be more entertaining than Gayle King's).
