Ok so optifix comes with a optifix pro device,ac adapter, optifix pro cleaning solutions and pads, and optifix pro repair solution and pads. First you plug the ac adapter into the optifix pro device and lock the cleaning or repair solution pads into the device (cleaning pads for cleaning the cd and repair pads for removing scratches). From here you add the amount of cleaning or repair solution the instructions says to add and hit the repair or clean button on the device based on what you want to do. When I first pressed the repair button I had a feeling this product wouldn't work just by the fact of how slow the disk was spinning and how the instructions explains the way it removes scratches and of course my suspicions were correct IT DOESN'T WORK. The cd you decide to use sets on top of these pads which causes friction between the device and the cd making the cd spin slow causing jerking which interferes with it's spinning (I mean it's lack of removing scratches or cleaning). Willing to give it one more chance, I switched to a cd with not many scratches tried it again and it failed making no difference which cd I used. If you are looking for a product to remove scratches from your cds, I strongly advise you to stay away from this product and try to find something else by researching it first from other buyers (this way you will save yourself some money).
Like I said before this product is made from Memorex (a respectable company), but in this case this product is a piece of trash and is why I advise anyone interested in this product to give up any false hopes you have on it and look for something better. Post a Commentbuddinator its 20$ u stupid prick
I paid almost $60 for this machine today. I am sitting at my desk with it right now wondering if there's anything else I can do with it because it has not repaired a single disk that I've put in it. When you look at the repair pads you just know before even trying it that it's a joke. They're not even abrasive. They're smooth like satin. How is a surface like that supposed to repair scratches in a plastic surface? I don't know what fruitcake thought this machine was a good design but he really needs a day pass outa the nuthouse or something. What a joke.
