Options Trading Systems: The Simple Way

Michael Young
If you have been looking for options trading systems, you have probably been somewhat overwhelmed by the number of systems out there. They all tend to claim large profits, and little risk. In reality, there are options trading systems that do work. It is just difficult to separate the winners from the losers. For a simpler system, you might try binary options. I'll outline a very simple system (strategy) for reducing risk, and potentially increasing profits. Binary options are simple fixed- return options. If your option expires in the money you receive the fixed returns, if it expires out of the money you receive 0-15% back.

One system is the most common system used when dealing with binary options. I'll return to that shortly. Right now I want to talk about the risks. Options trading systems cannot guarantee profits. The stock market is far too random for any system to eliminate the risks entirely. The best you can hope for with options trading systems is to reduce risk, and maximize profits. In the short term, and even the long term there is going to be unpredictable fluctuations that can hamper your profit potential. This is an unavoidable fact. What options trading systems do is give you a much better chance of realizing a profit. It is better to employ a proven system or strategy, than not.

The system I alluded to earlier is a very simple strategy when dealing with binary options. Options trading systems like this will only work if you can purchase one option (call, or put) that will be in the money, but not expired. The way it works is you buy a call, and a put option on the same asset. First you buy the initial option. This can be a call, or a put. Once it is in the money substantially, you buy a put option for the same amount. This gives you the chance to double your profits if the asset expires between the two strike prices. In addition, you will cut your losses drastically if one option or the other expires out of the money. It is a simple strategy, but very effective.

You hold the power to use options trading systems like this if you find that your option is in the money , but has yet to expire. If you have any reason to believe the asset might change significantly towards being out of the money, buy another option to hedge your investment, and possibly double your profits.
