I've had my Orbal B CrossAction toothbrush for about a year now. I didn't go shopping with the intent of getting one, just a new toothbrush and that's when I saw the CrossAction. At first I thought it was one of those power disposable toothbrushes, something I bought by accident because it just didn't make sense for it to not be reusable, but on closer inspection it turned out to be reusable. I was surprised because it only costs around $6 at Wal-Mart. Usually power toothbrushes costs at least $15. I was skeptical but since it was so affordable I bought it just to try out and have been using it ever since.
What I like about the Oral B CrossAction toothbrush is that it works really well at getting my teeth clean in a shorter amount of time. I was told that the proper way to brush is to do brush in circular motions and brush for two minutes. I did that with a regular brush for years and let me tell you, it gets tiring. With the CrossAction brush I was able to get the same cleanliness without taking two minutes to brush my teeth. Since the front part of the brush spins I didn't have to brush in circular motions either. I also like that it's a good power brush that's actually affordable, easy to use and keeps itself clean. There's a little hole on the back of the brush that circulates water out so it doesn't clog up the brush and spinning mechanism. Another thing I like about this toothbrush is that the replacement brush comes in a variety of choices and only uses one battery.
There are a few negative things about the CrossAction too. The first thing is that the brush replacements cost as much as the brush itself but it comes in a pack of two with a tiny plastic tool that enables you to pop out the old brush and put in the new. It's also a tad on the noisy side and goes through the battery quickly. In the time I've had it I've had to replace the battery every other month.
The cost of the replacement brush and noise doesn't bother me as much as how much battery I've used up on this brush, but still I really like my Oral B CrossAction and will continue to use it until it breaks on me. I'd recommend to anyone looking for an affordable power toothbrush.
