Oral B Pulsar Vibrating Toothbrush is Big and Bulky

My husband Len has really small teeth and finds it difficult to get a toothbrush that he likes. So when I saw that Oral B had the Pulsar Soft vibrating toothbrush on sale at CVS for $2.50, down from $4.99, and I also had a 75 cents coupon, I figured this to be a great buy. Most regular toothbrushes cost more than $1.75.

I asked him to use it for a week and then let me know how he liked it. Then I asked him to compare it with the other toothbrushes he uses. I didn't try it myself as I have dentures.

So today he gave me the lowdown on it. He wasn't too impressed with it. He says that the bristles are larger than the Oral B Vitality Sonic toothbrush, and also the Dr. Fresh one that is his favorite. He also told me that although it states that this is a 'soft' brush, he told me that it has harder bristles than both of the other kinds. This made his gums sore.

This is such a shame because the Pulsar has a great hand grip to it. It is in the dark blue, and light blue, colors that Oral B use. It has the 2 buttons for switching it on and off. The on one has a + on it, and the off one - sign. It is really study too.

The bristles are a combination of colors, blue, green, white, with some that are yellow with a green band on them.

It is supposed to give a deeper clean to break up plaque between the teeth.

This toothbrush is a unit, and once the approximately 3 months of the life of the toothbrush is up, then you should throw it away, and purchase a new one. The battery is a non-replaceable one, and as the head of a toothbrush should be replaced every 3 months, they are supposed to coincide.

So I asked Len which of the three toothbrushes he prefers, and the surprising one is the Dr. Fresh one that I purchased for $1, at the Dollar Tree store. This is a battery operated one and vibrates to give more cleaning power. I did purchase several of these for him, and after over a year he is still happy with them. His Oral B Vitality Sonic one, which was over $20, sits in it's stand and isn't plugged in.

I will not be asking for a refund on this as it only cost $1.75. If I had have paid $5 to $6 then I possibly would have done.
