I used both the Pro White brush head and the Floss Action brush head as they came with the kit but found that I really love the Floss Action brush head. The Floss Action head looks a little strange as it has small flaps on it which are meant to get between your teeth but after using it, I was amazed at how clean my mouth felt. My teeth felt truly clean for the first time since I last visited the dental hygienist.
The Oral B Triumph 9900 includes a "SmartGuide" which is a nifty wireless display that detects when you are brushing too hard and keeps track of how long you have been brushing. It can be mounted on your bathroom wall for easy viewing. The SmartGuide visually projects a signal when you are pressing too hard on your teeth and gums. Excessive brushing pressure is believed to contribute to receding gums. The SmartGuide also acts as a timer, encouraging you to brush for at least two full minutes. When the two minutes are up, a smiley face is displayed on the screen and the toothbrush simultaneously pulses to let you know that you are done. When not in use, the SmartGuide display functions as a digital clock.
The Oral B Triumph electric toothbrush is fully rechargeable in a compact plastic charger which has no metal surfaces to corrode or come into contact with water - a good feature as it is used in the bathroom. Replacement heads of a variety of types are available for purchase at many retailers including drugstores, grocery stores and discount stores. They may also be purchased at many online retailers making it easy to always have a great brushing experience and maintain that "fresh from the dentist" feeling.
The brush kit includes a compact plastic encased charger and comes complete with an enclosable stand for the brush and replacement heads. It also comes with a sturdy travel case big enough for toothbrush and charger - meaning that you will never have to leave it behind.
After finding a great product in the Oral B Triumph 9900 electric toothbrush, I will never buy another type of electric toothbrush because this one is terrific!
