Orange Cat Studios -- Local Denver Art Gallery

Orange Cat Studios, LLC is located next door to Denver's LoDo district. The building that houses the studio, originally built in 1893 as a local store front, has been remodeled to house the cutting edge art deco studio it is today. The design and construction was completed by Orange Cat Studios' owner, Sean D. Rice.

Rice, a native Coloradan, was born in Denver. He moved to the Arkansas Valley area to complete his primary education and then returned to Denver to complete his Bachelor's in Science degree in Biology at Metropolitan State College of Denver. He owns a home in the Hyde Park neighborhood. Rice, an avid art follower, is one of the founding members of the recently organized art district known as River North Art District. RINO, as it known, was organized in order to showcase "Denver's creative edge."

Rice is also an avid animal lover, seeking to enable local efforts to rescue abused and neglected animals. He actively assists Alley Cat Alliance, a local facility that traps and releases feral cats to transport them to stable and safe environments. Previously, he was a board member of Maxfund, a no-kill animal shelter, between February 2002 and February 2004.

In his spare time, Rice handcrafts exquisite, custom-made furniture, specially ordered by private home and business owners. His skills include art deco, Victorian revival and inspired pieces. Rice has enjoyed perfecting this talent for the past seven years.
