There are many unique services in Orange County, California for our health that we may need services for. There are free clinics for eligible families, free HIV Testing, banks to store cord blood, emergency homeless shelter, and children's health care program. There is always something in Orange County that we can find when we need it and these are some important places that we need to reach out to when needed.

UC Irvine Outreach Clinics

UC Irvine Outreach Clinics are free for those who do not qualify for county or government-sponsored programs, including MSI or MediCal and can't afford private insurance. You must first register for their clinic at the Village of Hope to see if you are eligible for an appointment by filling out a registration packet. Next, an eligibility worker will determine if you qualify for MSI or MediCal. If you do qualify for the MediCal or MSI, you can be seen at any community clinic that will accept MediCal or MSI, which you can directly make an appointment with the Hurtt Family Clinic, if you do not qualify for the government programs, you will be scheduled for an appointment during their Saturday clinic.

AIDS Services Foundation Orange County (free Aids Testing)

AIDS Services Foundation Orange County offers free, anonymous, confidential Aids testing. There are no appointments necessary and you can just walk-in. You will have pre-counseling as well as post-counseling for the test result. The test result will be ready in approximately 20 minutes. Aids Services Foundation Orange County is open Tuesday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Orange Coast Interfaith Shelter

Orange Coast Interfaith Shelter has been helping homeless families since 1981. They are a multifaceted transitional housing program that has served more than 1,000 individuals every year. Orange Coast Interfaith Shelter not only has transitional housing program, but has services of assessment, case management, nutrition, employment service and adult education through collaborators. They will also help by teaching you how to budget and manage your money and assist you in finding a secure permanent housing.

The Children's Health Initiative of Orange County is a public and private partnership. There are health care leaders, partners, and donors that work together to help support and coordinate county-wide programs for health insurance enrollment and retention for all uninsured children in Orange County. One of their partnerships is Irvine Children's Health Program I-CHP . The Irvine Children's Health Program I-CHP will help income eligible families to get affordable quality heath care for their children. They will assist income eligible families to enroll into five programs, including MediCal, Healthy Families, California Kids, Kaiser Child Health Plan and/or Healthy Kids. It is important that all children have health care insurance and it is worth to apply for.
