Living in Folsom you get spoiled and going across the river to go to Orangevale is just out of the way. The amazing thing about Blue Nami Sushi though is that my little brother and his friends gladly drive down to Orangvale instead of getting sushi locally. If you knew my brother and his friends you would know what compliment this is.
If you ahve not been to Blue Nami Sushi & Saki House it is located at 8807 Greenback Lane in Orangvale, California. Blue Nami Sushi as you probably have guessed offers sushi. Blue Nami has a pretty unique and unusual name and many of the sushi options they offer also have unique and unusual names such as the UFO, BMW, Rolls Royce, and Philadelphia Roll to name just a few. The sushi is as unique as the names suggest. While purest will be happy to find there are traditional and traditionally made sushi at Blue Nami.
Blue Nami makes its own unique kind of sushi which makes it a unique experience to eat here. Popular Blue Nami only rolls include the fried sushi. I am sure many Japanese purist would balk at this but you cant argue with the taste.
Most ethnic foods are very pricey and sushi is one of the priciest of all ethnic foods. This might make you wonder how my brother and his friend canafford to go once or twice a week to Blu Nami. One of the best surprises of Blue Nami is the price. Blue Nami is cheap for sushi. In general Blue Nami is reasonably priced.
The service at Blue Nami is also excellent which is a must with so many strange and unique sushi choices. You are probably going to be asking the staff quiet often what a certain sushi is after all its really unclear what a UFO would actually have in it besides little green men.
Blue Nami is more then just a sushi bar after all its full name is Blue Nami Sushi & Saki House. As you would expect Blue Nami also serves saki. I am not a saki expert but from what I understand Blue Nami has a good selection of saki.
Blue Nami is certainly geared for the young hip crowd so you might not be surprised to find that they offer free wi-fi while you eat. In fact I bet a few facebook posts have been sent from Blue Nami about people eating at Blue Nami with their free wi-fi.
Blue Nami is one of the best sushi spots in all of Sacramento. Since it is so cheap and offers such great service there is little reason that you should not give Blue Nami sushi a try.
