More warnings have been issued Wednesday from Seattle in Washington State, down to Southern Oregon, along with much of the Pacific North West Coastal areas. As a massive winter storm has hit warm air circulating over the regions.

There are many severe weather warnings in effect, and people are being asked to use sand bags to help old back water in the event of flooding. Washington state is being warned to brace themselves as possible record river flooding is on its way, as reported by weather.com.

Schools and businesses have been affected by the wet and windy conditions. With drivers being urged by police to cut speed and maintain distance from other cars, when out on the roads.

Conditions have worsened over night, as stormy winds and heavy rain have lashed both coastal and inland regions. More dramatically, not only have there been warnings about the danger of flooding and high winds. There has been avalanche warnings put out as of immediate effect. The araes likely to be affected by avalanches are those living around the higher mountainous areas of Washington State and Oregon. As snow fall to 9000 fteet is likely, which will fall on semi-melted snow. Bringing with it an extra danger of slides, not only of snow but land also.

Reporting to Oregon Live Tyree Wilde, the warning coordination meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Portland has said. "It's definitely not over for us. Be patient because there is more to come. The main concern right now, are rivers on the Southwest Washington coast, where the Willapa, Naselle and Grays rivers are already at major flood stage and still rising. Flooding is also expected on the Wilson, Trask and lower Nehalem rivers as the heaviest bands of precipitation sag south in Northwest Oregon."

In Washington State's town of Rochester, which is sat along side of the Chehalis River, residents have been uged to evacuate there properties. As the river begins to burst its banks. Up to 5.76 inches of rain have also fallen in Cougar, Washington at the Lewis River drainage. This in only an 18 hour period.

Along U.S. 12 east of I-5, landslides have been occuring so fast that authorities have been unable to keep up with them. Again drivers are urged to go with caution when traveling certain routes with high embankments.
