Oreo Fun Stix Are a Disappointing 90 Calorie Snack
New Oreo Fun Stix come in a box of individually wrapped packs and there are two thin Oreo Fun Stix per pack. Each pack of Oreo Fun Stix is 90 calories, which makes them fit in nicely with the "100 calorie" pack trend that seems to be filling the supermarket shelves these days.
I opened a pack of Oreo Fun Stix and pulled out a cookie, and when I bit into the first Oreo Fun Stix it immediately broke apart, leaving cookie crumbs all over me and my clothes. I noticed that the Oreo Fun Stick are not really made of traditional Oreo cookies, but consist of a dry, crumbly material that had no chocolate taste at all. This fine wafer-like material is so crumbly that it shattered as I took the first bite of my Oreo Fun Stix.
I was disappointed to discover that Oreo Fun Stix aren't at all like regular Oreos. Oreo Fun Stick don't have that rich fudgy melt in your mouth taste or texture of traditional Oreo cookies. The only redeeming feature of Oreo Fun Stix is the creamy filling, which does taste a lot like the filling of a real Oreo cookie. However, this tasty creamy center doesn't really compensate for the dry tasteless and cardboard-like consistency of the wafer cookie that surrounds the filling.
Where to Buy New Oreo Fun Stix
If you would like to sample new Oreo Fun Stix for yourself, these cookies are widely available in supermarkets and grocery stores nationwide. At 90 calories per pack, Oreo Fun Stix seem like a sensible snack; however, 100 calorie packs like the many delicious flavors of Keebler Right Bites are better tasting and a lot more satisfying. Several other members of my family sampled the new Oreo Fun Stix, and we all concluded that this 90 calorie snack tastes nothing like regular Oreo cookies.
I can't recommend new Oreo Fun Stix as a pleasing, satisfying snack. If you are looking for a low calorie enjoyable treat, skip Oreo Fun Stix in favor of 100 calorie packs like Keebler Right Bites.
