Organic Apple Juice Review: Cascadian Farm Organic Apple Juice

It has been a long time since I have bought juice. We tend to eat a lot of fruit in this house and organic fruit and organic juice is usually too expensive for us to justify getting it. I have not missed it and normally would have not get any juice but I needed it for a new granola recipe that I wanted to try that called for apple juice. Wanting to stick to an organic theme I chose organic apple juice concentrate. The only brand that I could find was Cascadian Farm Organic Apple Juice.

Normally I don't care for apple juice, although I do love apples and thought that I would get organic concentrate juice to save money. To my surprise though I found this apple juice to taste really great. I was able to have a glass as the granola that I made did not require the entire container. If I regularly drank apple juice I am certain that I would choose this one and if I need apple juice for my granola I know that I will get this one for sure. One of the reasons that I suddenly needed apple juice for my granola was because I wanted the percentage of organic ingredients I use to be greater and I knew I could replace oil with apple juice cheaper than to get organic oil, plus I figured it would likely be healthier. For this reason I examined the ingredients and nutrition facts of the Cascadian Farm Organic Apple Juice.

Not surprisingly the ingredients of Cascadian Farm Organic Apple Juice are organic apple juice concentrate and water. The nutrition facts are equally simple as one serving offers you twenty-seven grams of sugars, twenty-nine grams of carbohydrates and one hundred and twenty calories. I was surprised to see that the juice didn't contain any vitamins or fiber being made from apples and all but I was glad that it had one tenth of what you need daily for carbohydrates. At first I looked at the amount of sugars as a bad thing but fruit juice are naturally high in sugars because fruit is and I found that other brands of fruit juice concentrates were the same or much higher and not organic. I can't say that I am crazy about the nutrition facts but they are not going to stop me from getting this apple juice concentrate again.

The can of Cascadian Farm Organic Apple Juice is twelve ounces which gives you about eight glasses of apple juice. I would recommend this product since it is organic, is not unhealthy and tastes great. At nearly four dollars it seems to be a bit much to pay fifty cents a glass. One may want to add more water to make it last longer, I know that is something that I can see myself doing. All I know is that it is hard to find organic apple juice concentrate and the fact that Cascadian Farm makes one is really great.
