Organic Baby Lettuces Pre-Washed Salad by Earthbound Farm

I recently decided to take the easy route to salad making and try out a few different pre-washed salads. This is not something that I have done in a long time but I was really craving a good quality salad that had a variety of lettuces in it and that wasn't something that I could easily make on my own. I've already tried a couple of pre-washed salads including a Pre-Washed Organic Mixed Baby Greens by Earthbound Farm. I liked it enough that when I saw an Organic Baby Lettuces Pre-Washed Salad by the same company for the same price I decided to try it out too. Here is what I thought about it.

Something that I noticed about the Organic Baby Lettuces Pre-Washed Salad by Earthbound Farm was that it had a lot of different lettuces in it. I glanced at the ingredients while in the store and was glad to see that there was in fact a variety of lettuces, six different ones to be exact. The ingredients of the salad were the following organic baby lettuces, red and green oak leaf, lollo rosa, red and green romaine and tango. The only reason that some of these lettuces sounded remotely familiar was because they appeared in the previous pre-washed salad that I had got. I was looking forward to this salad very much. It didn't take long to try out the pre-washed salad as I was using it as part of dinner that same day.

While at dinner I took a few bites of the salad without any salad dressing on it. I don't normally use salad dressing, in fact I think it has been years since I have used any on my salad. The reason I bring this up is because salad dressing has a way of mellowing out the taste of very healthy lettuces. Remember how the previous salad tasted like I knew that the Organic Baby Lettuces Pre-Washed Salad by Earthbound Farm was going to be very healthy tasting. I didn't mind though, in fact I was actually looking forward to all the healthy taste though. Other people eating the salad preferred to have it with salad dressing for the very reason of mellowing it out though. All of the different baby lettuces tasted really, really good. I couldn't wait to see what the nutrition facts were going to be like.

In two cups of Organic Baby Lettuces Pre-Washed Salad by Earthbound Farm there is only fifteen calories. In addition this amount of salad contains sixty milligrams of sodium, three grams of carbohydrates and one gram of both fiber and protein. Also the minerals and vitamins section of the nutrition facts listed vitamin A with one hundred and forty percent, vitamin C with thirty percent, iron with twenty percent and calcium with six percent for this amount of baby lettuces salad. I thought that these nutrition facts looked really, really great and I was happy to have gotten the salad and to be eating it.

One thing that I think may keep me from getting the Organic Baby Lettuces Pre-Washed Salad by Earthbound Farm a lot is its price. The five ounce plastic container cost three dollars and twenty-eight cents. This is quite a bit of money to be spending on a salad. However it really is not a bad price when you think about all of the wonderful organic lettuces that are in it. I hope to get this salad at least a few times more and I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes healthy and organic salads, and do use some salad dressing if you need the healthy taste to be milder.
