This company services southern California with organic "all you can eat" buffet specials. There's a 40 person minimum, but they have a great selection for catering events. You can choose the Good Morning Breakfast Buffet, Mexican Fiesta Buffet, Farmers Market Salad Buffet, Tsunami Buffet, or the Green Truck Signature Menu Buffet. They also have vegan and raw buffets. All food is USDA certified organic. To check out their menu and find out about their catering trucks that run on vegetable oil, go to their website.
2. Spud
Using Spud's organic food delivery service you'll be travelling less, using "fewer food miles," and using less waste. If your order is a certain minimum price, varying by area, your delivery is free! You also earn Spud reward points with every $1 spent. Once you earn 1,000 points, you can redeem for $10 off your next order. The Spud website also has an easy to use calculator to determine how much you can save by ordering your groceries online. Just enter information like how often you go to the grocery store, your car's mileage, costs to shop (such as childcare, membership fees, etc) and you'll see how much Spud can save you! Total savings for me? $220, though the average for customers is $30.36 per month.
3. L.O.V.E. The Los Angeles Organic Vegetable Express.
The L.O.V.E. service delivers fresh vegetables and fruits to your doorstop. Box and delivery frequencies are customizable online! Organic fruits and vegetables are the best organic foods you can eat, as pesticides and contaminates will easily get into these foods. When ordering from LOVE, you chose your box size and customize what you want. For example, you can order a "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" box, which is a 2/3 fruit small box. For $29, here is what comes in that box: 4 medium apples (granny smith and braeburn), 1 medium hass avocado, 2 bananas, 1 4oz bag of dates, 1 large grapefruit, 1 mango, 2 colossal oranges, 2 medium d'anjou pears, 1 8.8oz package of clamshell strawberries, 1 red bell pepper, 1 head cauliflower, 1 8oz bag of peas, 2 lb Yukon gold potatoes, and 1 medium tomato.
