Absolute Organics (www.theabsoluteorganics.com) will deliver 100% certified organic fruits and vegetables to your home or office. This company is operated by a family who chose that it would be beneficial to their child to eliminate the chemicals from his food and, therefore, eat more organically grown fruits and vegetables. With this service, there are a number of fruits and vegetables that will be delivered to your home or office, although some of the items are seasonal and will not be delivered as often. From Apples to Zucchini there is a wide variety that could show up at your door. It is important to note that when signing up for this service, you have the choice of listing the items that you do not want delivered, and you will not receive them. Each delivery will produce different items. There are three different sized boxes and three different prices ($30, $40, $50). Your produce can be delivered weekly or biweekly depending on the needs of your family and your delivery can be cancelled at anytime as long as you cancel within two days of your next scheduled delivery. If you are more partial to fruit than vegetables you even have the option of asking for a higher percentage of fruit and a smaller percentage of vegetables. Items will be delivered and if you are not available can be left in a cooler (provided by you) so that you are still able to receive your organic items. Absolute Organics is a very family oriented company that works to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase. They are so confident with their service, the do offer a guarantee. Please see their website for specifics. You can also find information on the benefits of eating organic on their website, just in case you had any doubts! There is also a list of frequently asked questions that can come in quite handy. Absolute Organics has business hours from 8:00am -5:00pm Monday through Friday. Papa Spud's Organics (www.pappaspuds.com) is labeled as an online farmer's market with organic fruits and vegetables that aims to help keep local produce in the area. With this service you are able to go online and choose the fruits and/or vegetables that you would like to receive. This one is more customized for you or your family than many other services. There are particular products that can be chosen depending on the delivery date. Papa Spud's makes deliveries weekly, however, if there are reasons that you do not need a box each week you have the option to place your "subscription" on hold. There are two size options for this service. The Weekly Sampler is the smaller of the two and costs $22.99 (per week). The larger if the two is named the Family Sampler and is priced at $40.99 (per week). The boxes are sized according to the number of "credits." You will have 20 credits on the smaller box and 40 on the larger. The day of your delivery depends on your location within the Raleigh area. If you are in the immediate Raleigh area you can expect delivery on Wednesday, if you are located in Cary, Durham/Morrisville, or Apex/Holly Springs you can expect to receive your items on Tuesday. There is a decent amount of information on the process and ordering at their website. Papa Spud's can be contacted via telephone at 919-858-6234 or via email at info@papaspuds.com.
As someone who is very much involved in buying and consuming organic products, I can tell you that it is well worth the time to set up one of these services and continue to participate in their programs. Oh, and think about all of the time you will save at the grocery store trying to decide which products are best for you and your family! As people continue to see the benefits of eating organic including, but not limited to, reduction of chemicals in food, better tasting foods and health benefits we are sure to see an increase in people using these services. Now is the time to start working with these services now so that one, you can take a step towards better health, and two, so you can be assured that your organic items will be delivered as the crowds continue to grow and business expands!
