Organic Food and Item Delivery in Indianapolis

I cannot stress how important it is, especially in our fragile economic times, to buy your groceries from a local source. Besides that obvious fact that doing so supports small business and your local neighborhood, local grocery shopping yields healthy, organic food and produce. That's great for you, great for your community and definitely great for the world!

Many people recognize this, so they've gone an extra step to make the whole organic food thing a little easier for you.

There are several organizations that have made a business out of delivering your organic food (including organic vegetables, fruit and meats) right to your door. The following are great options for organic food and produce delivery in the Indianapolis and surrounding area.

Farm Fresh Delivery; www.farmfreshdelivery.com

7503 Crews Drive; Indianapolis, IN 46226; (317) 377-0470

Farm Fresh Delivery, located at www.farmfreshdelivery.com, is probably the top organization for organic food delivery in Indianapolis (and has recently expanded to the Cincinnati area). According to their website, "FFD strives to make delivery of organic produce and natural groceries convenient and affordable. Our one of a kind service provides our customers with all of their kitchen staples and connects our community with the best local produce and groceries available."

It is entirely possible (speaking from personal experience) to order everything you could possibly need from Farm Fresh including baking supplies, meat, fish, dairy, produce and snacks. They deliver weekly. All you do is sign up, choose from a selection of available items on their website and wait for your order to arrive. They bring everything in a temperature safe container so don't worry about the eggs or milk spoiling.

And the best part? All of it is local.

Good-Earth in Broadripple (Indianapolis); http://www.good-earth.com

6350 Guilford Ave; Indianapolis, IN 46220

Good-Earth is a little different from Farm Fresh. It does offer food delivery, but it mostly sticks to snacks, teas and gluten-free foods.

The great thing about this site (which is also a store in Broadripple) is that it delivers other great organic, good for the earth items to your door! Items include shoes, apparel, vitamins, and more.

According to the website, "Since 1971, the Good Earth Natural Food Company has offered the best natural products at the lowest prices. We are a family owned and operated business offering a distinctive and broad selection of natural and organic foods, supplements, beauty products, and apparel."

Other great organic options in Indianapolis:
