Organic Frozen Green Beans from Naturally Preferred

These Green Beans Turned Out Great and I was Happy that I Decided to Try Them

I have recently started to get more and more frozen vegetables. The amount that I have on hand is still the same except now I am making a point to select different ones to keep things interesting. After getting a little bit burnt out on frozen mixed vegetables and frozen broccoli I decided to get a bag of frozen green beans. Of course, I could not get just any old bag of frozen green beans, I had to get a bag of frozen organic green beans, and I needed the bag to be on sale to justify getting it. Lucky for me, I was able to find just that and got a bag of Organic Frozen Green Beans from Naturally Preferred. Here is what I thought about them.

When I found these organic frozen green beans they were on sale for one dollar and fifty cents and this bought me about two and one-third cups of green beans. In two-thirds of a cup worth of Organic Frozen Green Beans from Naturally Preferred there is only thirty calories. This amount of green beans contains only five grams of carbohydrates, two grams of fiber and sugars and one gram of protein. However in the minerals and vitamins section of the nutrition facts vitamin A was listed with two percent, vitamin C was listed with six percent, calcium was listed with four percent and iron was listed with two percent. I thought that it was great that you could find both vitamins A and C, calcium and iron in green beans. I was completely unfamiliar with what kind of nutrition facts they would offer so I found this very, very interesting. Not knowing really anything about green beans and their nutrition is the reason I looked at the nutrition facts before trying the Organic Frozen Green Beans from Naturally Preferred, that was the next step.

This was not the first frozen vegetable that I had tried from the Naturally Preferred company. I had already tried several and was growing accustom to them very much. Prior to getting the green beans I had tried Frozen Organic Green Peas, Organic Frozen Corn and Organic Frozen Broccoli from the company. In addition I have even tried non-frozen foods from the company which include their Organic Honey Fiber Multigrain Cereal and Organic Golden Flax High Fiber Cereal, Organic Unsweetened Apple Sauce, Organic Blackberry Apple Sauce, Organic Roasted Garlic, Organic Italian Herb and Organic Tomato Basil pasta sauces, their Organic Semolina and Organic Whole Wheat Spaghetti and their Organic Carrots. I kept my eye out for their good prices, great sales and excellent quality. Having cooked other frozen vegetables from the company I knew cooking the Organic Frozen Green Beans from Naturally Preferred would be easy.

I followed the instructions on the bag of green beans just to make sure that I did everything correct. All that was needed to be done was boiling a half a cup of water, adding the frozen organic green beans to it and then bring it back to a boil. Covering the pot at the second boil and turning the heat down to medium was needed, along with one stir while the green beans only had to cook for about eight to ten minutes. The Organic Frozen Green Beans from Naturally Preferred turned out great. I didn't have any complaints about them and they certainly were a nice change. I would happily recommend for anyone to try them out. If I can find them again for only a buck and a half I will be sure to get them again. Hopefully someday I will be getting fresh organic green beans too.
