Organic Green Beans Review: Westbrae Natural Organic Cut Green Beans

Even Though These Green Beans Were Canned They Still Had a Lot of Flavor

I have never been particularly fond of green beans but I have nothing against them and their taste. They are something that I wasn't getting until recently. After looking closer at both the frozen food section and the canned goods section, I noticed that there was a selection of organic vegetables. Now I always prefer to get my vegetables fresh, but I thought that I would see what some of the frozen organic vegetables and canned organic vegetables were like. One such vegetable that I did this with was green beans. I got a bag of mixed vegetables from the frozen food section that included organic green beans and a couple cans of organic green beans.

The bag of frozen mixed vegetables that I got were Frozen Organic Mixed Vegetables from Naturally Preferred and one of the cans that I got was a of Westbrae Natural Organic Cut Green Beans. I was growing very fond of the Westbrae Natural brand. They were constantly providing good food and I was happy to try out what they had to offer. I first discovered the company with their Organic Whole Wheat Spaghetti but I also was trying a number of their canned goods that included their Vegetarian Organic Black Beans, Vegetarian Organic Pinto Beans, Organic Sweet Peas and of course these organic green beans. When I tried their green beans I opened another can of organic green beans from a different brand and tried them together.

The Westbrae Natural Organic Cut Green Beans were much, much better than the other can. I wasn't too surprised by this, as I said they offered very good food. Also the other can of organic green beans were nearly half the price, which may have been the reason that they were not as good. These organic green beans came in a can that contained about one and three-fourths cups of the vegetables, water and sea salt. There was about three and a half servings of the green beans in the can which was one dollar and eight-nine cents. There was some nice nutrition and taste that came with the green beans.

In a half of a cup of Westbrae Natural Organic Cut Green Beans there is twenty calories with zero calories from fat. There was three hundred and thirty milligrams of sodium in half of a cup of the green beans as well as four grams of carbohydrates and two grams of both fiber and sugars. In the minerals and vitamins section of the nutrition facts both iron and calcium were listed with two percent, vitamin A was listed with twice that and vitamin C was listed with six percent. These organic green beans were not overcooked, had a great flavor and were properly seasoned.

I would recommend for anyone to try Westbrae Natural Organic Cut Green Beans. I thought that between them and the other can that I had they were much, much better. If I decide to continue to get canned organic green beans I will be sure to get these ones again. Ideally I prefer to get my vegetables fresh but if I am in the mood for some green beans and can't find any fresh organic ones, or can't find any for a reasonable price I will definitely keep these ones in mind. I am very glad that I decided to try out the can of Westbrae Natural Organic Cut Green Beans.
