Organic Groceries Galore Over at Fresh Fanatic

I love to cook. I used to live up in Harlem where the local supermarkets were limited to C-Town and Associated which are great and all, but they are pretty limited to ingredients when you want to make something other than Easy Mac or Ramen noodles.

So it came as no surprise that I immediately fell in love with Fresh Fanatic on Washington Avenue. It's more of a gourmet market, but their supply of organic foods, fresh meats and fish as well as a delectable menu that includes burgers, sandwiches and smoothies among other things.

I eat lots of meat and I gobble down fish, so I headed over to their fish section for some great sushi and I picked up some steak tips and sliced turkey breast from the deli. I noticed that they had alligator and ostrich which for an adventurous eater like myself I will certainly be testing in the future.

I was pleased to notice that when I left, my total wasn't as exorbitant as I had expected. I definitely would have spent more at Whole Foods or Trader Joe's.
