Organic Herb Spaghett Sauce: Newman's Own Organic Traditional Herb

I usually like to keep a lot of spaghetti sauce on hand because I use it so often. Not only do we have spaghetti a lot but we also have homemade pizza every week and so it is used a lot in my cooking. I started to find it hard to stock up on when I switched over to getting organic spaghetti sauces. I tried a number of different sauces and kept my eyes open for sales for many months and so far I believe that the cheapest organic spaghetti sauce that I have found is Newman's Own Organic Traditional Herb Pasta Sauce. Well actually this is not the only sauce for a low price as I also found Newman's Own Organic Tomato Basil Sauce and Newman's Own Organic Marinara Sauce. Here is what I thought of their Traditional Herb Pasta Sauce.

This was not the first time that I had gotten a herb pasta sauce, not too long ago I tried some Naturally Preferred Organic Italian Herb Pasta Sauce, Muir Glen Organic Italian Herb Pasta Sauce and Muir Glen Organic Chunky Tomato & Herb Pasta Sauce. I enjoy herb pasta very much however the Newman's Own Organic Traditional Herb Pasta Sauce was only two dollars and eighty two cents when I first saw it and so it was cheaper than the others that I had tried. Thankfully the decrease in price did not equal a decrease in taste. I thought that the Newman's Own Organic Traditional Herb Pasta Sauce was very good. I also thought that the sauce had a great texture and I used some of it on a homemade pizza. I was glad that I decided to get this pasta sauce and eagerly read the ingredients and nutrition facts hoping to see good things.

The ingredients of Newman's Own Organic Traditional Herb Pasta Sauce are organic tomato puree, which is made from water and organic tomato paste, organic soybean oil, organic sugar, sea salt, organic dried onions, organic extra virgin olive oil, organic dried garlic, organic black pepper, organic basil, organic oregano, organic thyme, organic parsley and citric acid. The jar contains about three cups of pasta sauce and each serving is one half of a cup of pasta sauce. In each serving there is ninety calories, with forty calories from fat, six hundred and sixty milligrams of sodium, thirteen carbohydrates, less than one gram of fiber, twelve grams of sugars and two grams of protein. In the minerals and vitamins section of the Newman's Own Organic Traditional Herb Pasta Sauce nutrition facts calcium is listed with two percent, iron is listed with ten percent and vitamin A is listed with twenty five percent. All in all I thought that the nutrition facts and the ingredients looked good.

Even though this spaghetti sauce is a really great deal when it comes to jars of organic spaghetti sauce I don't know that I will be getting the Newman's Own Organic Traditional Herb Pasta Sauce a lot. It wasn't that I didn't like it is just that my budget may not allow for me to get it every week. I suppose if I could find it for less I would be tempted to stock up but until then I may just get it from time to time. If I plan on getting organic pasta sauce I know that I will be getting it again, or at least one of the other two organic pasta sauces that I tired that are from Newman's Own. As I mentioned before the sauce was two dollars and eighty two cents when I first saw it, the last time that I had gone into the grocery store though its price had gone up by ten cents. I am glad that I tried it when I did and I would recommend for anyone else to try it as well.
