Organic Teriyaki Sauce from Whole Foods 365 Organic Everyday Value Review

T. H. Pankey
I used to make a teriyaki sauce that was some good! I'm probably going to start making it again, because I can't find a teriyaki sauce that I like as much as the sweet blend I used to make. Whole Foods 365 Organic Everyday Value Organic Teriyaki Sauce is no exception. It's an ok-tasting teriyaki sauce but wasn't sweet enough for my palate and somewhat off-tasting in the spice department. The price was ok, but who keeps paying anything for something they don't really like.

Whole Foods 365 Organic Everyday Value Organic Teriyaki Sauce Spices

Salt and a little more salt, organic ginger puree, organic garlic, organic black pepper, organic chili pepper, organic onion and organic ginger oil are the spices in Whole Foods 365 Everyday Value Organic Teriyaki Sauce. I like ginger ok but this recipe has a little too much in it. You would think that the amount of salt in it, 290 milligrams or 12% DV per serving, would make it too salty but it wasn't. Again, there is a tad too much ginger and that's the dominant spice flavor in this recipe. Overall, the spice blend isn't balanced too well.

Whole Foods 365 Organic Everyday Value Organic Teriyaki Sauce Taste

As you've already reckoned, I'm not too impressed with the taste of Whole Foods 365 Everyday Value Organic Teriyaki Sauce. Even when I take away any comparison to the teriyaki sauce I make, I'm still not too thrilled with the taste of the teriyaki sauce Whole Foods makes. Whole Foods says, "Our 365 Organic Everyday Value Teriyaki Sauce imparts a savory sweetness..." Whole Foods Organic Teriyaki Sauce doesn't have any "savory sweetness" about it, that's for sure. In fact, it's hardly sweet at all. Moreover, the recipe they've put together makes for a rather plain, even somewhat off-tasting organic teriyaki sauce.

What's Good About Whole Foods 365 Organic Everyday Value Organic Teriyaki Sauce

What is good about Whole Foods 365 Organic Everyday Value Organic Teriyaki Sauce is its price: 10 fluid ounces for $2.99. That works out to $4.78 for 16 fluid ounces. Store shelves are littered with teriyaki sauce that isn't organic that costs more than that.

Which brings us to what else is good about Whole Foods 365 Everyday Value Organic Teriyaki Sauce: "Whole Foods Market Label Products are formulated to avoid genetically engineered ingredients.
