Salads - Salads are an excellent source of vitamins for people of all ages, and especially growing elementary students. You can make salads with any ingredients, adding variety to your elementary students. Try fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, and legumes and a variety of homemade or store-bought vegan organic dressings.
Hummus and Chips - Hummus is a very easy to make chickpea dip that will add protein to your children's diets. You can make or buy hummus in a variety of flavors, such as roasted red pepper, sundried tomato, garlic, or spinach. Serve hummus with toasted, whole wheat, organic pita chips.
Granola - Granola is a very healthy, tasty treat to add to elementary students' organic vegan lunches. You can make homemade granola (with rolled oats, nuts, and dried fruits), or purchase some organic granola at the store.
Fresh, Whole Fruit - Unprocessed, organic fruit is a great way to give your elementary students the sweet factor they want in their organic vegan lunches, while maintaining the healthy factor, as well. Try organic apples, oranges, bananas, berries, or any other fruit your children love!
Potato or Pasta Salad - Many students love non-lettuce based salads, too, so try making their favorite salads entirely organic and vegan. Potato and pasta salads are often some of the most popular, but you can also make other salads, such as couscous or quinoa salads, to give your children some variety in their organic vegan lunches.
Sandwiches and Wraps - It's easy to make organic vegan lunches for elementary students that are similar to such non-vegan lunches. Sandwiches are incredibly popular for children's lunches, and you can make your children's sandwiches organic and vegan by filling it with fresh, organic vegetables like romaine lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and avocado slices, as well as hummus or mustard for even more flavor.
Enjoy making these organic vegan lunches for your elementary students and knowing your children's health will be better because of it!
